Anne Ellinger Member Emeritus
Anne Ellinger (formerly Anne Slepian) founded Bolder Giving in 2007 with her husband, Christopher. After unexpectedly inheriting money in their 20s and ultimately deciding to give 50% of it away, Anne & Christopher dedicated much of the next 30 years of their lives to donor organizing. She co-founded More than Money, a nonprofit peer education network which published the groundbreaking More Than Money Journal and co-authored the award-winning book We Gave Away a Fortune, the guidebook Welcome to Philanthropy, and numerous articles in More Than Money Journal.
Anne is a graduate of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and has her MSW from Boston University. She and Christopher live in Arlington, MA and she is currently working with Christopher to pursue her second passion – arts for social change. This includes acting in True Story Theater, a Playback Theater Troupe founded by Christopher in 2001, and helping develop the Playback North America network.
