Christopher and Anne Ellinger (Founders, formerly Christopher Mogil and Anne Slepian) are nationally-recognized writers, counselors, workshop presenters, and organizers on issues of wealth and philanthropy.  Their writing includes the award-winning book We Gave Away a Fortune, the guidebook Welcome to Philanthropy (written for the National Network of Grantmakers) and numerous articles in More Than Money Journal.  Read more…

JasoJason Franklinn Franklin (Executive Director) brings to his work with Bolder Giving a background in philanthropy education, nonprofit strategy and leadership, and urban policy and education advocacy. He is also a Lecturer on Public Administration and Doctoral Candidate at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service where his research focuses on the role of charitable foundations in the policy-making process and he teaches courses on nonprofit management, public policy, and philanthropy. He serves on the boards of Resource Generation, North Star Fund, 21st Century School Fund and Social Justice Philanthropy Collaborative and on the advisory board of Wealth for the Common Good. Diane Dana

Diane Dana (Operations Manager) helped launch and form the Community Service Learning (CSL) movement, now practiced in schools and communities across the country. She founded the Massachusetts School-based Community Service Learning Program at the state Department of Education, and helped to launch the Community for Integrative Learning and Action (CILA).In addition to working at Bolder Giving, Diane works at the SEED Project on Inclusive Curriculum  at the Wellesley Centers for Women, Wellesley College.

Jennifer Leigh Jennifer Leigh (Communications Consultant) is an integrated marketing consultant with a specific concentration on the non-profit sector, and has worked with clients in the philanthropy, affordable housing, healthcare, domestic violence and anti-poverty arenas. In addition to er consulting work, Jennifer is also Communications Director of The Poverty Institute, a non-partisan think tank that advocates for low-income Rhode Islanders through tax and budget policy.

Board

Jennifer McDonaldJennifer McDonald (Board Chair & Treasurer) is the Volunteer Executive Director of the One Percent Club, a community of over 1,000 members who have pledged to give back to the communities and organizations they are passionate about. Additionally, Jennifer is an attorney who provides services to individual and business clients in estate planning, negotiation, business and non-profit law. Jennifer is an active volunteer and also serves on the boards of LegalCORPS, Economic Growth Centers, Green Solutions Foundation, and the Parental Abduction Child Recovery Team (PACRT).

Levani Lipton PhotoLevani Lipton (Secretary) is the Executive Director of the Ananda Foundation which funds grassroots organizations in Asia, Africa and Latin America focused on improving the health of vulnerable populations, providing educational opportunities for children, and supporting economic empowerment through microcredit and training for women. Originally from Hawaii, she has lived in India, has spent time in the Bangladesh slum communities of Mirpur, and currently lives in Cambridge, MA. In 2000, Levani worked for an NGO in Thailand as a research consultant on a study of community support systems for persons affected by HIV. A “student of life,” Levani studied nonprofit management at Harvard and philanthropy and grantmaking at NYU.

Bill LyonsBill Lyons is a consultant to families, foundations and family offices through Affinity Capital Consulting. His work integrates law and psychology to help clients clarify their values and develop cohesive board and governance structures for effective management systems, leadership succession and long-term success. His passion for generational succession issues has developed out of his personal family experience. He is a board member of his family’s foundation and is currently the Director of the Leadership Project of Wealth for the Common Good, working with business leaders and investors promoting fair taxation and shared prosperity.
